Sustainability

Is your packaging recyclable?

The packaging for our klaentabs is recyclable. The same goes for our shipping cartons and envelopes as well as our bottles, although they can be reused as long as you like. Our laundry packaging is compostable.

Can I use my own spray bottles?

Of course, that's not a problem. Just make sure you clean your bottle beforehand. For optimal cleaning, make sure that the bottles have a capacity of no more than 750 ml.

What material are the bottles made from?

Our bottles are made from 100% recycled PET plastic, which means that no unnecessary plastic is used in the production of our bottles. Of course they can also be recycled again, which we are happy to do for you. Simply send us your empty bottles and we will do the rest.

Shouldn't we also be doing something about environmental pollution?

Yes, we should. That's why we are involved in a number of projects to not only prevent plastic and environmental pollution but also to actively combat it. For example, we plant a tree for every order placed and have decided to donate to theoceancleanup initiative, whose mission is to free our oceans from the plastic that is wrongly dumped into them.

What are the ingredients in klaentabs?

We manufacture our products in the most environmentally friendly way possible and refrain from using obviously harmful substances, such as harmful fragrances. The main ingredients are citric acid, biodegradable anionic surfactants and sodium bicarbonate, as well as some food colouring, each in different proportions depending on the application. Our products also contain non-allergenic fragrances to make your home smell good after cleaning. You can find more information on the respective product pages under "Product information" and "Hazard warnings".

What kind of surfactants are contained in the klaentabs?

We use biodegradable anionic surfactants. These regulated, washing-active substances easily dissolve grease and other dirt due to their chemical properties.

Are the products really environmentally friendly?

Our products are free of genetic engineering and gluten. They are also vegan and are of course developed without any animal testing (like all cleaning products in Europe since 1998). In addition, we only use ingredients that are on the EPA list of safer chemical ingredients and none of the restricted ingredients on the EWG lists. By choosing klæny, you can also save up to 94% of CO2 emissions compared to traditional cleaning products.

Payment

What payment options do you offer?

We offer the following payment options: immediate bank transfer, invoice via Klarna, Paypal, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro). Please note that we do not create individual invoices, as payments are processed solely by Klarna. If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact Klarna.

Where can I find my invoice and payment information?

To save paper, we do not enclose an invoice with your package. You will find a purchase summary in your order confirmation. However, if you still require a separate invoice, please contact customer service. Your payment details will be provided separately by your payment service provider. If you choose to pay in advance, you will be automatically redirected to the relevant payment page after completing your order.

How does buying on invoice work?

With Klarna, buying on account is very simple. From the date of invoice, you have 14 days to receive your order and pay the invoice. The invoice will be provided by Klarna and will be sent to you either by email or in your Klarna customer portal.

When will I receive payment information from Klarna?

In general, you can view your order immediately via "Invoice with Klarna" at klarna.de (https://my.klarna.com/de/de/login). There is sometimes a delay and it can take up to 24 hours. If your order cannot be viewed after 24 hours, please contact Klarna customer service directly at https://www.klarna.com/de/kundenservice. If you do not wish to go through klarna.de, you can also transfer the amount due to Klarna's bank account. You can also find the bank details in the Klarna payment information.

Is it possible to extend the payment period of my invoice with Klarna?

Of course we try to keep our delivery times short. However, if it should take a little longer, you can of course avoid the costs by sending a reminder. Log into your customer portal at klarna.de and select your order or invoice from us. There you can adjust the payment period.

How can I pay my Klarna invoice?

Log in to your Klarna account and pay your invoice with one click. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, you will find all the necessary information on your invoice: Klarna's account details, the payment date and the reason for payment (only use the reason for payment indicated on the invoice). You can also find more information on klarna.com.

My discount code does not work, what can I do?

Please check that the voucher code is spelled correctly first. It is also possible that the code you entered is not applicable to your shopping cart. Please check if your shopping cart meets the requirements.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Deliveries costs depend on the country you are ordering from. Shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and displayed during checkout.

What is your delivery time?

As soon as your order has left the warehouse, we will send you a shipping confirmation. This will also contain your DHL tracking number and you will also be able to select individual delivery options via shipment tracking.

What do I do if I haven't received my shipment?

If the delivery has been made but you have not received your shipment, please check at possible drop-off locations or with neighbours to see if the order is there. If the shipment has been in transit for some time and the status does not change, please also contact us via the contact form in the footer of our website indicating your order number.

What do I do if my order is faulty or if a product is faulty?

This should not happen! Contact us via our contact form in the footer of our website indicating your order number and we will immediately arrange a quick replacement or other solution.

I am not satisfied with my order, what can I do?

Our products are covered by a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your order, please send a request to our customer service via our contact form. We will then provide you with all the necessary information regarding your return.

Product information

How much product can I get from a klaentab?

One klaentab produces 500ml of detergent in our bottles. If you use another bottle, you should not exceed 750ml in the quantity ratio to get an optimal cleaning result.

How do I use the klaentabs?

To use our klaentabs, simply fill the empty bottle with warm tap water. Do not use hot water, otherwise the bottle may be damaged. Insert the tablet into the bottle and wait until it has completely dissolved. Now screw the head onto the bottle and start cleaning for good. Tip: For stubborn dirt, it is helpful to let our cleaners work a little longer before wiping with a damp cloth.

What do klaentabs smell like?

Odorous substances are usually contact allergens and are difficult to degrade in nature. As our products meet the highest standards, we decided to use only natural fragrances. As we explored this idea further, it became clear to us that cleaning products do not necessarily have to have a chemical smell. We decided to use a pleasant aloe vera scent and a light lemon scent, as this is the only scent that we feel offers the best balance between the pleasure of cleaning and the environment. Our multi-purpose and window cleaners therefore have a subtle aloe vera scent and leave no traces. As for our bathroom cleaner, it smells pleasantly of lemon. A light summer breeze!

For which surfaces can I use klaeny multi-purpose cleaner?

With our klaeny multi-purpose cleaner, you are equipped for every corner of your home. You can use our multi-purpose cleaner set for almost every type of cleaning and maintenance in your home. From your living room to your bedroom to the kitchen, our klaeny all-purpose cleaner covers almost every area of your cleaning routine and is safe for pets and children thanks to its natural ingredients and composition. Please note: Our cleaners (like many others) are not suitable for sensitive materials such as natural stone or marble, as they contain citric acid, which can cause the surface to become dull. Please ask about special cleaning products in advance or test our cleaners on an inconspicuous area."

Are your products vegan and free from animal testing?

All our products are vegan and pH balanced. Also, as with other cleaning products, our products are basically free from animal testing. This is because in the EU it is forbidden to test cleaning products on animals. Therefore, our cleaning products, like those of all other European manufacturers, have been developed without animal testing.

Why are the bottles empty?

Our bottles are designed so that you never have to buy another bottle of household cleaner that might end up in the sea. You can make your own cleaner with our klæntabs and normal tap water.

Can I buy the klaentabs individually?

You can buy our klaentabs in our pre-designed kits - in addition to our classic refill kit with all the tablets in our range, you also have the option of ordering them in the variety of klaentabs you need.

What is the shelf life of undissolved klaentabs?

Our klaentabs have a shelf life of several years when still sealed in their bags. Just make sure you keep them in a dry place, away from moisture.

What is the shelf life of klaentabs once they have been dissolved?

Our klaentabs produce between 500 and 750 ml of cleaning product and have a shelf life of at least 6 months once dissolved.

My bottle is leaking, what can I do?

This happens in rare cases and is due to the dissolving behaviour of the tablets. Please leave your bottle open for a while so that no pressure builds up in the bottle. To make sure that the bottle does not leak, turn the spray head to "Off", so nothing can happen to you!

How do I fill my bottle?

We recommend that you first fill your bottle with lukewarm water before inserting your klæntab, as it will then foam much less. Please do not pour very hot or boiling water into the bottles as this may damage them. Please let your klæntab dissolve completely before screwing the spray head onto the bottle. Otherwise, pressure is created and the liquid can escape.

How do I get the best results from the window cleaner?

Our window cleaners do not contain any aggressive alcohols. These allow the liquid in conventional cleaners to evaporate quickly and the windows to dry almost instantly. We therefore recommend that you use a dry cloth or a squeegee to achieve a streak-free result.

How long does a bottle of cleaner last?

In general, a full 500 ml bottle lasts at least 6 weeks, but this of course depends on your personal routine.

Order process

Can I cancel my order?

In any case, contact us and we will check whether the order can still be cancelled. This can be done by a clear statement (e.g. telephone, fax, e-mail). If not, you have the possibility to cancel our products within 30 days after receipt of the goods. We will normally refund the full amount of your purchase within 3 working days of receiving the return.

Can I change my order later?

In some cases, our customer service department can still correct and process orders. However, if the package is already ready to be shipped, unfortunately we can no longer process it.

Can I change my address later?

Send us a message as soon as possible via the contact form in the footer of our website indicating your order number so that we can correct the delivery address in time!

Are your products also available in retail shops?

Currently, our klæny products are only available for sale online.

Can I have my parcel delivered to a relay point?

Yes, you can also order from a packing station. Please note the following during the ordering process: 1. enter your first and last name 2. enter the postal number - you will find it on the Packstation card 3. enter Packstation in the street field 4. enter the house number of the desired Packstation 5. enter the Packstation data for the postal code and city of residence.

We produce in Germany. But klænys products are used everywhere. We attach great importance to the conditions under which our cleaning tablets are produced. That is why our cleaning tabs are manufactured in Germany in strict compliance with German environmental regulations.
